Extrusion Blow Molding Maintenance Mechanic

Your day, your impact

You arrive on the floor and bring bottle-making lines to life—starting up, dialing in, and keeping extrusion blow molding equipment humming. As you move between machines, you’re assessing bottle quality, tweaking parameters, and jumping in to solve electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues before they slow production. You collaborate with operators and your supervisor to improve methods, boost uptime, and keep the area safe, compliant, and spotless.

What you’ll do

• Run machinery that produces blow-molded containers in multiple sizes and colors.
• Continuously monitor bottle quality, ensuring specifications and QC standards are met.
• Recommend process or equipment adjustments that enhance departmental efficiency.
• Alert your supervisor to manufacturing issues; analyze, resolve, and coach others through problems promptly.
• Champion safety rules, GMP practices, and good housekeeping in all related areas.
• Maintain and service blow molding machines, chillers, air compressors, grinders, and blenders.
• Hang molds and perform complete set-ups to get lines running.
• Provide shift coverage for operators across all shifts when needed.
• Diagnose and correct electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of blow mold machine maintenance and/or injection molding experience.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfort lifting, twisting, and carrying up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas.
• Comfort around elevated noise levels (varies by location).
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator when required.
• Willingness to follow Health & Safety and GMP regulations.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Compensation

Base pay range: $36–$41 per hour. Actual pay will depend on factors such as relevant experience/skills, time in role, business line, and geographic location.
