AI Marketing Operations Engineer

About the Role

A fast-growing, seed-funded European AI platform company is looking for an AI Marketing Operations Engineer to design and run the systems that make a small marketing team operate like a much larger one. You'll build production-ready skills, automations, pipelines, and lightweight internal interfaces that the entire team depends on daily. Your work will also serve as a living proof point for how AI can transform real workflows — with direct visibility into product development.

This is an on-site role based in Berlin, Germany. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain AI-powered marketing tools — including brand voice assistants, research tools, brief generators, and campaign reviewers — to production-quality standards with strong user adoption.
  • Keep internal documentation AI-ready by structuring and maintaining knowledge bases in GitHub for reliable agent consumption.
  • Identify and automate repetitive content workflows end-to-end, from draft to published output, while preserving human judgment and quality standards.
  • Own the AI-generated slide pipeline: maintain deck generation templates, align outputs with the design system, and ensure deliverable quality that colleagues rely on.
  • Build simple internal dashboards and interfaces when AI skills alone aren't sufficient to meet workflow needs.
  • Document how tools work and actively enable non-technical teammates to get more value from AI-built tools and automations.
  • Act as a bridge between internal practice and the product team — surfacing platform feedback and applying new features to marketing use cases.

What We're Looking For

Required (dealbreakers):

  • 5+ years of experience in AI-enabled marketing technology or platform development, delivering production-grade AI workflows — not one-off prompts or demos.
  • Proven ability to write code, integrate APIs, and debug AI/automation workflows to production readiness.
  • Experience building internal dashboards or simple user interfaces to support AI tooling.

Also required:

  • Track record structuring and maintaining documentation or knowledge bases (e.g., GitHub) so they are consumable by AI agents.
  • Experience automating content or marketing processes and owning template-driven outputs such as decks or campaign artifacts.
  • Strong ownership mindset: self-driven, high standards for quality, and able to justify technical choices with evidence.
  • Collaborative, empathetic communication skills and a genuine commitment to enabling non-technical teammates.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with AI governance, monitoring, and quality controls for automation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with version-controlled documentation workflows and automation (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with production-grade AI tooling in marketing operations across multiple platforms.

Location & Work Arrangement

This position is on-site in Berlin, Germany. Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany without visa sponsorship.
