Step onto the production floor and into a role where your eye for detail keeps the line running smoothly and customers satisfied. As an In-Process Quality Assurance Technician, you will turn work instructions and control plans into action—verifying product quality, interpreting data trends, and partnering with operations to prevent defects before they happen.

A day in the life

  • Begin your shift by reviewing control plans and work instructions; coordinate with the team on upcoming changeovers and assist as needed.
  • Perform in-process quality checks to keep the process nominal; record inspections in the Quality System and, when required, enter GMaP’s data.
  • Watch reliability and yield indicators, spotting trends early and communicating them clearly.
  • Keep the workspace audit-ready with disciplined 5S habits and a safety-first mindset.
  • Know your PPE and the location/purpose of all lockouts and e-stops; act promptly to keep production running safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Troubleshoot issues, solve problems at the root, and take initiative on departmental tasks assigned by supervision.

What you bring

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and goals.
  • Clear communicator—oral and written—with a track record of reliability and independent work.
  • Leads by example through work ethic, good attendance, sound judgment, and a positive attitude.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Team-oriented, cooperative, and skilled at finding common ground to resolve problems.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and a drive to deliver excellent work.

Schedule and physical expectations

  • Able to work standard 8-hour shifts Monday–Friday.
  • Open to day or night schedules and overtime as needed.
  • Frequently lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation; regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work beyond 40 hours may be required based on workload or projects, including weekends and holidays.
