Outbound Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Step into a 1st shift Outbound Logistics Coordinator position where your focus is simple: ensure every order leaves accurately, on time, and fully documented. You’ll be the link between production, the warehouse, and carriers—preparing shipments, maintaining precise records, and keeping the shipping area running smoothly.

A Day in the Life

You begin by reviewing the day’s orders in the ERP, confirming products and quantities. You generate labels, packing slips, and bills of lading; stage well-packaged pallets for pickup; and line up freight schedules with carriers. Along the way, you update shipment data, resolve discrepancies, and support quick inventory checks so nothing slows the outbound flow.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, package, and process outgoing orders for timely shipment
• Verify item accuracy, quantities, and shipping paperwork before release
• Create shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading
• Record shipment details in the computer/ERP system
• Partner with warehouse and production to ensure orders are shipment-ready
• Stage labeled freight for pickup and coordinate schedules with carriers
• Maintain clear, current shipping and inventory records
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification as needed
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies; report damage or shortages
• Keep the shipping area clean, safe, and organized

What You Bring

• 1+ year of experience in shipping, warehousing, or logistics (preferred)
• Strong computer and data-entry capabilities
• Familiarity with ERP, inventory, or shipping systems is a plus
• Accuracy with documentation and shipping forms
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting
• Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently
