Dental Clinic Coordinator

Position Summary

We are seeking a Clinic Coordinator to support the coordination and daily operations of clinical services. The Clinic Coordinator will work closely with physicians, medical support staff, patients, and other treatment-related disciplines to ensure efficient scheduling, accurate medical records, timely coordination of diagnostic information, and effective patient communication.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a healthcare, medical, dental, or clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the scheduling of clinical services with physicians and medical support staff.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and support the efficient flow of clinical activities.
  • Maintain and secure accurate patient medical histories and medical records.
  • Instruct and educate patients regarding prescribed treatments, procedures, and medications.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, medical support staff, and other treatment-related disciplines.
  • Coordinate the receipt, tracking, and distribution of patient laboratory results and X-rays.
  • Monitor clinic activities and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate existing clinic policies, procedures, and methods of operation.
  • Recommend new or revised policies, procedures, and workflows when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle patient information in accordance with applicable healthcare privacy requirements.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day clinic activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical, dental, healthcare, or clinical setting preferred.
  • Experience coordinating appointments, clinical services, or patient care activities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and clinical staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with standard office and computer applications.
  • Experience with electronic medical/health records (EMR/EHR) systems is preferred.
