Ready to be the hub that keeps civil projects moving?
If you love building order out of complexity, partnering with Superintendents and PMs, and turning data into on-time, on-budget execution, this role is for you.
What you’ll tackle
- Create and route RFIs and submittals; assemble subcontract agreements and preconstruction packages for PM review.
- Own document control: drawing logs, current plan sets, organized project files, and digital repositories.
- Support preconstruction turnover, procurement planning, and contract reviews.
- Request quotes; compile and level vendor and subcontractor proposals.
- Track production, quantities, cost codes, and performance in HCSS/HeavyJob and Excel.
- Help generate monthly pay applications; verify installed quantities and review tickets.
- Maintain redlines, as-builts, delay logs, and quantity adjustments throughout the job.
- Visit the field to validate quantities, gather data, and assist operations.
- Build look-ahead schedules with Superintendents that tie directly to budgets.
- Update the master schedule with real progress and shifting milestones.
- Coordinate surveys, permits, utility locates, inspections, material deliveries, and sub activity.
- Troubleshoot drawing conflicts, material issues, and documentation gaps with field teams.
- Order materials with correct job codes/quantities; confirm delivery tickets and specification compliance.
- Keep material logs and certification files current; help manage inventory.
- Serve as the go-to for vendors and provide secondary support for subcontractor coordination.
- Track materials from purchase through installation; maintain production sheets, meeting minutes, schedule revisions, and change logs.
- Communicate with owners, inspectors, and designers via email and project portals.
- Assist with traffic control plans, ROW permits, SWPPP, and municipal paperwork.
- Closeout: compile final quantities, as-builts, warranties, and subcontractor documentation; drive punch list tracking and completion.
- Participate in Rocks, Scorecards, D10s, and required reporting; support PM with lessons learned, revenue projections, and final documentation.
- Jump in on other duties as needed to remove roadblocks.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Science/Management/Engineering (or related).
- 0–3+ years of construction or infrastructure experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and HCSS/HeavyJob; ability to pick up scheduling and cost tools quickly.

- Highly organized and detail-focused; able to juggle multiple deadlines independently.
- Decisive problem-solver who uses available data to act in the office or field.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
