Why This Role Matters
- Be the electrical authority on shift, safeguarding equipment reliability for high‑speed packaging lines.
- Apply rigorous Lockout/Tagout and safety practices to protect people and assets.
- Reduce downtime by rapidly diagnosing faults in 480V power, PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and conveyors.
- Standardize toward Allen‑Bradley components to improve maintainability and spare‑parts strategy.
- Lead or support projects that modernize legacy systems and elevate plant performance.
What You’ll Tackle
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair low/high‑voltage single‑ and three‑phase electrical and control systems across lines, facilities, and utilities (air compressors, boilers, pumps, water purification, and lighting).
- Execute emergency and scheduled electrical maintenance for the entire plant.
- Plan work and projects independently or in partnership with a controls engineer/department manager.
- Size circuits and install conduit per NEC/local codes; replace outdated or unsafe wiring.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and participate on the plant emergency response team.
- Work in full compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local regulations.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (PST).
- Overtime: Typically scheduled on Fridays as needed.
- Pay: $35.87/hour starting rate, plus a $0.25/hour shift differential.
Must‑Haves
- High school diploma/GED or trade school.
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret and update electrical prints/schematics with thorough documentation.
- Use of diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Knowledge of Hazard Class 1, Div. 1, Group C & D.
- Understanding of industry‑standard motion sensing and control devices.
- Experience with DC and AC motors/drives (Allen‑Bradley preferred).
- Knowledge of Allen‑Bradley MicroLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix families.
- Hands‑on PLC programming and HMI configuration skills.
- Experience converting relay logic to PLC‑based architectures.
- Familiarity with cGMP and other regulatory requirements for electrical installations (preferred).
- Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA.
- PC literacy with common productivity software.
- Gas House Safety System Training (conducted by KIK).
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures (conducted by KIK).
Physical Work Environment
- Shift‑based role; you may rotate between 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on urgent needs.
- Work at heights (ladders, platforms, articulating boom lifts) and in tight spaces.
- Stand and walk through the plant for 8+ hours per shift.
- Non‑office, hands‑on environment; lift 10–40 lbs as needed.

This role has a base hourly rate of $35.87. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as skills and experience.
