Maintenance Tech. Forge (2nd & 3rd Shift) - North Vernon, Indiana
Possible contract-to-direct hire position (up to 12 month contract position)
Max. Pay Rate: $25.75-$26.00 per hour (determined by shift)
2nd & 3rd Shift positions available


Job Description/Overview of the Maintenance Tech. Forge:
  • Safely maintain equipment and working conditions to meet plant expectations
  • Provide reliable support that allows the plant to manufacture products that exceed customer expectations
  • Interact with production and maintenance supervisors to align necessary repairs and production priorities
  • Communicate material needs or deficiencies to the maintenance supervisor
  • Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Shift leadership


Responsibilities of the Maintenance Tech. Forge:
  1. Notify Maintenane Team Leader, Production Team Leader or Operator when tasks are completed and tested ready for Production
  2. Rotate/assist with other Maintenance Specialists to the as directed as it applies to time management
  3. Communications between Maintenance Teams
  4. Assist with planned changes for minimum disruption at required operations
  5. Responsible for asisgned maintenance tasks, and PMs
  6. Responsible for the maintenance of equipment, facility, and property
  7. Assist with maintenance activities that support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement in the plant
  8. Assist with engineering and quality groups in ensuring reliability and capability of production equipment and supporting systems
  9. Assists the on-going training efforts of the maintenance organization to ensure that the skill level exists to meet demand of exisiting and emerging technologies by sharing knowledge of activities
  10. In addition to the above responsibilities, this position is responsible for other tasks as assigned


Required Skills, Experience, & Education of the Maintenance Tech. Forge:
  • ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001 Awareness
  • Accountability of others
  • Basic Hydraulics
  • Electrical experience
  • Safety focused work ethic
  • Technical expertise
  • Minimum (2) years' experience in industrial maintenance/manufacturing operations, (4) years' preferred
  • A working knowledge of compacting, forging, deflash, double disk grind, shot peen, whitelight inspection, video ink jet, magnetic particle inspection, and dip tank opeation is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree in Applied Science in Electronics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Automated Manufacturing experience or equivalent work experience in a Maintenance Technician role required
