About the role
Picture a typical day safeguarding a fast-moving supply chain. You’ll start on the floor, visible and approachable, scanning for risk signals and supporting teams. Mid-shift, you might pivot to an incident review—compiling statements, video clips, and timelines—then partner with Operations, HR, and Transportation to prevent a repeat. By day’s end, you’ve helped protect people, products, and property while keeping the network running smoothly.
What you’ll do
- Provide confidential avenues for reporting concerns such as theft, harassment, or unsafe practices, ensuring every associate feels safe and heard.
- Leverage CCTV and access-control systems to spot risk indicators that could lead to loss events.
- Create precise incident documentation—clear reports and accurate statements that stand up to review.
- Continuously monitor video for red flags: unauthorized access, process shortcuts, unsafe actions, and product handling anomalies.
- Communicate calmly and clearly in tense situations, using de-escalation techniques whenever possible.
- Follow SOPs to the letter for access control, visitor registration, driver check-in/check-out, and badge issuance/management.
- Stay agile as operations shift—reprioritize for hot loads, weather disruptions, carrier delays, or system outages.
- Be available for varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak volume or incidents.
What you bring
- 1–3 years of experience in asset protection/loss prevention, security, or operations within a warehouse or supply chain setting (preferred).
- Exceptional situational awareness, attention to detail, and strong verbal/written communication.
- De-escalation skills and familiarity with CCTV, access-control, and badge platforms.
- Preferred certifications: First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Tech fluency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams), incident management software, and digital evidence handling.
- Ability to understand written and oral directions in English and to write effectively in English.
