As an Aerospace Mechanical Assembler, you’ll transform components into finished assemblies, verify quality at every stage, and collaborate with a tight-knit team to keep production moving smoothly.

A Day in This Role

You start by reviewing blueprints and work instructions, gather tools and parts, and begin precision assembly. Throughout the shift, you perform in-process checks, measure, solder or wire where needed, troubleshoot mechanical or pneumatic issues, and communicate any discrepancies so issues are resolved quickly. Your bench and work cell stay organized and safe, and you close the day by documenting results and preparing for the next build.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and finished products to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks during assembly to confirm accuracy and function.
  • Work closely with teammates to improve flow and throughput.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Identify and report issues or nonconformances promptly to a supervisor.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols without exception.
  • Participate in training to expand skills and stay current on processes.

Qualifications

  • Able to interpret instructions in English.
  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or assembly.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow directions precisely.
  • Strong team orientation and collaboration skills.
  • Clear communication and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new methods and technologies.
