Member of Technical Staff, Product (AI Agents)

About the Role

Join a seed-funded AI startup building production AI agents that automate repetitive, high-effort workflows for professional services clients. You'll work end-to-end — from understanding customer operations to shipping, deploying, and continuously improving autonomous agents that deliver real, measurable efficiency gains. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role on a small, fast-moving team that values rapid experimentation and practical results.

What You'll Do

  • Convert observed customer workflows into reliable, deployable AI automations.
  • Build and own production AI agents end-to-end: design, build, deploy, monitor, and iterate.
  • Partner directly with customers to understand their operations and identify automation opportunities.
  • Run experiments with new models, techniques, and use cases; benchmark results and ship what works.
  • Design thoughtful AI × Human interfaces that make automation practical and usable.
  • Maintain observability and monitoring for live AI systems (metrics, dashboards, alerts).

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in ML/AI product development, with a focus on production-grade AI agents.
  • Proven track record shipping LLM-based systems in production environments.
  • End-to-end ownership experience: build, deploy, monitor, and improve AI agents.
  • Strong Python programming skills applied to real-world AI/LLM systems.
  • Ability to gather requirements directly from customers and translate them into working automations.
  • Comfort operating autonomously in early-stage, ambiguous environments.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience designing human-AI collaboration interfaces.
  • Background in AI observability and monitoring tooling.
  • Experience benchmarking and selecting models/techniques for production use.
  • Prior experience in professional services automation (e.g. fintech, tax, audit, or similar regulated industries).
