Safety Compliance Manager

  • 80,000 - 90,000 USD Annually

The Compliance Manager oversees and integrates the Company’s Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance programs. This role ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Local, customer, and third-party certification requirements while driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, and operational performance. The Compliance Manager serves as the site subject-matter expert for OSHA, EHS, SQF, GMPs, sanitation, pest control, product quality, and regulatory reporting and partners closely with Operations, HR, Maintenance, and corporate teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

*A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-90,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities – Compliance, Safety & EHS

  • Develop, implement, and maintain site safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare and maintain OSHA and regulatory reports.
  • Conduct plant safety, health, and environmental audits.
  • Administer Workers’ Compensation claims.
  • Lead employee Safety Committee.
  • Maintain SDS documentation and plant security programs.
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities – Quality, Food Safety & SQF

  • Develop and administer quality and food safety programs.

  • Serve as SQF Practitioner and maintain SQF system integrity.

  • Ensure adherence to established plant rules and procedures that promote compliance with customer service-related activities, including, but not limited to:- Following run-order specifications for each product.

    • Following pre-requisite programs in compliance with SQF Code, Manufacture of Food Packaging, and food safety requirements.
    • Following all GMPs in compliance with all Food Safety Requirements.
  • Oversee sanitation and pest control programs.

  • Conduct quality audits and maintain inspection records.

  • Support customer audits and quality inquiries.

  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Training, Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Delivery safety, quality, and compliance training.
  • Track and report on safety and quality metrics.
  • Lead RCCA’s, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical compliance support to departments.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7+ years of manufacturing experience in safety or quality compliance.
  • Experience with OSHA, SQF, and GMPs preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to implement process improvements.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and industrial equipment. Frequent plant floor presence is required.

You should be proficient in:

  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
