From precision alignments to on-the-spot fabrication, you are the go-to pro who restores equipment to peak condition and keeps people safe.

About the Role

This hands-on position supports plant-wide mechanical maintenance in a heavy industrial setting. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of mechanical systems to maximize uptime and reliability. The role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and calls for strong mechanical aptitude, welding capability, and unwavering safety habits in demanding conditions.

What You’ll Handle

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions to plan and execute work
  • Install, assemble, align, test, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment across the facility
  • Maintain and repair conveyors, hoists, lifts, power shafting, pulleys, and related systems
  • Dismantle, move, install, and commission machinery and mechanical assemblies
  • Perform field fabrication: cutting, drilling, bending, burning, and framing modifications
  • Conduct equipment inspections and precision alignments
  • Operate hoists and cranes (overhead and mobile), rollers, dollies, and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Apply welding skills to support equipment repairs and modifications
  • Maintain orderly, compliant work areas and follow site safety practices
  • Work assigned schedules to support production needs

What You Bring

  • Proven mechanical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
  • Working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and rigging gear
  • A strong safety mindset and consistent PPE compliance

Physical Demands and Conditions

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, twisting, and balancing
  • Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces; respirator use may be required
  • Lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • Repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Frequent work with arms above and below shoulder level
  • Ability to remain in a single position for extended periods
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, gases, chemicals, and extreme weather

Required PPE

Safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hard hat, hearing protection, and respirator when necessary.
