Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturer in Irwin, PA to add a hands-on CNC expert who thrives on precision setups, smooth changeovers, and first-piece validation.
A day on the floor
It’s 6:00 AM and you’re at your cell. You review the setup sheet, swap fixtures with confidence, load tooling, and zero in on your first article. A quick inspection confirms the dimensions. You make a minor program tweak, document what matters, and hand the line off to an operator you’ve coached. Throughout the day, you watch machine performance, troubleshoot small issues before they grow, and keep your space clean and safe.
Compensation & schedule
- Pay: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
- Shift: 1st shift, Monday – Friday
- Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

What you’ll do
- Execute tooling setups and machine changeovers
- Complete fixture changeovers as needed
- Run first-article parts and verify results
- Make minor CNC program edits when necessary
- Monitor quality and throughput during machine operation
- Assist machine attendants and entry-level operators
- Spot and report tooling, machine, or quality issues
- Use measuring tools to confirm dimensions and specs
- Keep documentation accurate from setup through run
- Maintain a clean, safe work area
What you bring
- Hands-on experience with CNC lathes and/or mills
- Mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting ability
- Basic inspection skills and confidence using measuring tools
- Minor CNC programming exposure preferred (not required)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Comfort in a fast-paced production setting
- Ability to wear a respirator when required (must be clean shaven to meet safety compliance standards)
