Role snapshot

• Advanced field maintenance and repair for heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and farm machinery.
• Expert diagnostic work using advanced tools and OEM service manuals.
• Execution of scheduled and unscheduled repairs with minimal supervision while meeting safety and performance standards.
• Operation of cranes and specialty equipment to safely complete lifts and component replacements.
• Clear, customer-facing communication with recommendations and status updates.
• Accurate documentation of work performed, parts, and time.
• Mentorship of entry-level technicians and collaboration across teams.
• Continuous learning to incorporate industry advancements into daily practice.

Minimum qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years hands-on with diesel, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; effective under pressure in fast-paced field environments.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, tools, and manuals.
• Personal tools appropriate for the trade.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle (mobile role).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds; comfortable working indoors and outdoors.

Preferred credentials

• ASE or OEM-specific training (e.g., CAT, Hyster, Cummins).
• Field service/mobile repair experience.
• Strong communication and customer service track record.
• Customer-facing experience or jobsite project leadership.
