A Day in This Role

You arrive to a clean, safety-focused manufacturing floor and open the day’s build packs. With an engineer’s drawing in one hand and a welding hood in the other, you select materials and determine the best technique for each component. You cut, fit, and weld with precision, turning raw stock into accurate assemblies. After a first-piece inspection, you fine-tune where needed, then collaborate with engineering and design teammates to verify manufacturability before final install. Throughout the shift, you track quality and safety metrics, and note process improvements to elevate repeatability and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints to fabricate metal components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Cut, weld (MIG/TIG), and form metal to build structural frames and machine parts.
• Inspect finished pieces for dimensional accuracy and quality; adjust as necessary.
• Partner with engineering and design teams to ensure components are functional and manufacturable.
