CDL A Regional Driver Trainee

Location: Columbus, OH (regional routes across the Midwest and East)

365 Freight USA is hiring recent CDL-A graduates and newly licensed drivers for a paid 4- to 6-week mentor program based out of Columbus, Ohio, that leads to solo regional driving. This opportunity provides hands-on road training, modern equipment, full benefits after training, and a clear path into regional routes serving Ohio, the Midwest, and the Eastern states. Candidates should be prepared to build safe driving habits and transition to a steady solo role operating out of the Columbus area.

  • Paid 4- to 6-week mentor training paired with an experienced driver

Route details

  • Begin with a paid mentor program focused on safe, professional driving skills
  • Transition into solo regional assignments operating from the Columbus area after training
  • Run dry van freight on regional routes throughout Ohio, the Midwest, and the Eastern U.S.
  • Adhere to DOT regulations, company policies, and hours-of-service requirements
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs and required paperwork
  • Communicate professionally with mentors, dispatch, and customers

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Graduate of an accredited CDL school
  • Clean motor vehicle record
  • Able to meet DOT physical requirements and complete required pre-employment screenings
  • Safety-first mindset, reliability, coachability, and professional communication skills
  • No prior over-the-road experience required
