Account Manager

About the Role

A fast-growing, angel-backed B2B SaaS startup in the AI-powered phone communication space is looking for an Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of existing business customers. You'll be the primary commercial and success contact for your accounts, driving adoption, expansion, and long-term retention — and helping shape the company's account management motion as it scales across the DACH region.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned B2B accounts across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities within your portfolio, including upgrades, add-ons, and renewals, against monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Run regular business reviews, discovery calls, upsell conversations, and QBRs with existing customers.
  • Analyze customer usage data to demonstrate measurable impact and surface new automation use cases.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing product adoption to maximize retention.
  • Collect structured market and customer feedback and relay it to Product and GTM teams.
  • Maintain clean CRM records, reliable forecasts, and a healthy expansion pipeline.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to coordinate account plans and ensure seamless handoffs.
  • Help define and refine the company's account expansion playbook as the team grows.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, account management, or customer success — startup or scale-up background is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record in upselling, renewals, or driving expansion revenue within existing accounts.
  • Experience with structured account planning, CRM hygiene (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot), and revenue forecasting.
  • Strong product and technical understanding with a genuine affinity for AI/ML technologies; comfortable leading product discussions and demos.
  • Native-level German — required for calls, reviews, and demos with German-speaking customers.
  • Ownership mindset, structured working style, and a strong customer-first orientation.
  • Experience with AI-powered products or technologies is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • OTE: €65,000 – €95,000 (fixed salary plus uncapped commission), depending on experience.

Location

Based on-site in Vienna, Austria, with hybrid work possible. This role requires regular in-person presence. Visa sponsorship is not available.
