NDE Level II Project Supervisor (Development Track)

As an NDE Level II professional based at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA, you’ll blend field execution with leadership—guiding outage activities at dedicated customer sites, elevating inspection practices, and preparing yourself for multi‑discipline Level III certification. You will report directly to the Manager of NDE Programs and play a visible role in delivering quality, safety, and reliability for our customers.

Core Responsibilities
- Execute non‑destructive examinations to written procedures; interpret results per applicable standards and specifications.
- Serve as project supervisor during outages at a dedicated customer—oversee daily site activities and provide clear status reporting.
- Create and refine inspection techniques and procedures for nuclear and non‑nuclear applications.
- Prepare for field projects by developing NDE procedures and examination plans.
- Participate in performance-based training to acquire and maintain certifications and to keep pace with technology advancements.
- Complete safety training to perform work in hazardous environments and to use safety equipment and systems properly.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot NDE field equipment, automated systems, and site computer networks.
- Deliver work with high quality in accordance with qualified procedures; document and maintain quality records.
- Foster team-building with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers, and other departments; demonstrate strong customer sensitivity.
- Travel as required, maintain Unescorted Access at Nuclear Power Plants, and work with hazardous materials in compliance with training and procedures.
Location and Travel
- Home base: Waltz Mill facility, Madison, PA.
- Seasonal travel during spring and fall outages; typical assignments last 1–3 weeks with occasional off‑peak travel.
Your Growth Path
While performing in the Level II capacity, you are expected to progress toward Level III certification across multiple methods, expanding your technical and leadership influence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in NDE/NDT.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background performing non‑destructive inspections in nuclear and/or non‑nuclear power plants or related industries to recognized standards.
- Eligible to certify to an employer-based written practice meeting ASNT CP‑189 and ASME Section XI; multi‑disciplined in UT, VT‑1/2/3, MT, PT, and ET.
- Working knowledge of the ASME Code.
- Ability to travel during outage seasons and periodically in off‑peak periods.
