CDL-A Driver Regional Semi-Local Dedicated

Location and route: North Liberty, IA-based semi-local dedicated route operating within a 600-mile radius. Multi-stop dedicated pattern with routine midweek and weekend home time and predictable lanes.

Compensation and pay: Minimum base pay of $0.64 per mile. Typical weekly pay averages $1,600–$1,700. Estimated annual pay range: $85,000–$91,000 (USD). Pay is issued weekly.

Equipment and support: Modern tractors and trailers with company operational and dispatch support. Primarily no-touch dry-van freight with drop-and-hook procedures to promote consistent regional patterns.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in full compliance with DOT regulations, company policy, and hours-of-service requirements.
  • Perform multi-stop dedicated dry‑van deliveries using drop-and-hook procedures and follow customer unloading instructions when required.
  • Ensure proper cargo securement and adherence to handling procedures for dry‑van freight.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report defects and maintenance needs promptly.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation, including proper use of electronic logging devices (ELDs) where applicable.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, delays, or operational issues.
  • Follow company procedures for fuel management, routing, and on-road safety; report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • At least 1 year of OTR tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 36 months.
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening and meet DOT medical requirements.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
  • Proficiency in English sufficient for safe operation and clear communication with dispatch and customers.
  • Minimum age 21.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hazmat endorsement preferred. If not currently held, the driver must obtain the Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire; employer assistance may be available.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to representing the carrier at customer locations and on the road.
