Step into a day as a Manufacturing Process Technician

You arrive, complete a quick safety check, and get your line humming. Throughout the shift you keep a close eye on process parameters, step in to troubleshoot, and make smart adjustments that keep production moving smoothly. When a defect pops up, you dive into root-cause investigation, record what you find, and partner with teammates and customers to protect quality. You wrap up by documenting results, coaching a new hire through a procedure, and identifying one LEAN improvement to test tomorrow.

What you’ll do

• Run industrial production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Oversee process performance and lead defect investigations to determine causes.
• Perform thorough visual inspections of in-process and finished product.
• Evaluate procedures/SOPs and fine-tune process settings to enhance operations.
• Obtain operator certifications across each function you support.
• Onboard and train new production associates on manufacturing methods and standards.
• Maintain reliable attendance—arrive on time and complete every scheduled shift.
• Work overtime when business needs require it.
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers and support a strong team environment.
• Partner with internal teams and external customers to address quality concerns.
• Accurately create, update, and retain required production and quality records.
• Take on additional related tasks as assigned by your Supervisor or Team Lead.
• Engage in continuous improvement (LEAN) activities to drive better results.
• Contribute positively to a respectful, team-centered workplace.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1–2 years operating machinery in an industrial manufacturing setting (or equivalent) required; 3+ years preferred.
