Your craft shapes safer, more reliable vehicles. In this role, youll combine programming expertise with hands-on machining to produce automotive components that meet exacting specifications. You will program, set up, operate, and maintain CNC turning equipmentand support other machining centers when neededto keep quality high and throughput on pace.
Picture taking a new print, translating GD&T into a robust turning strategy, selecting the right tooling, and building a clean, efficient program. You verify it with a dry run and a meticulous first article, then monitor production to hold tolerance while fine-tuning feeds/speeds for tool life and cycle-time gains. Along the way, you document improvements and uphold standards common to the automotive industry.
