Role at a Glance
Location: Juno Beach, FL
Engagement: 11-month W-2 contract
A Day in This Role
Morning in Juno Beach starts with a review of performance data from operating sites and supplier updates. You’ll synthesize inputs from internal and external sources to conduct technical due diligence, then outline augmentation pathways for utility-scale batteries and hybrid solutions tailored to customer needs. Late morning, you’ll guide external Engineers of Record, aligning electrical, structural, and civil design packages. After lunch, it’s coordination with permitting, procurement, interconnection, and construction teams to keep multiple high-volume augmentation projects moving. You’ll close the day by spotting value-engineering opportunities, updating controls and system integration concepts, and advising early-stage and construction project managers on scope, risks, and execution.
What You Will Tackle
- Lead detailed electrical, structural, and civil design for large-scale battery augmentation initiatives.
- Oversee numerous concurrent projects from concept through commissioning, steering EORs and collaborating with project managers.
- Drive engineering direction, maintain visibility into progress and issues, and set technical expectations across teams.
- Collaborate on process improvements, system integration, and controls strategies.
- Use market and technical analyses to shape energy storage strategies and propose storage and hybrid configurations.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and value-engineering options that enhance performance and reliability.
