Based full-time onsite in Ogden, UT, and reporting to the Senior Technical Services Manager, you’ll be the hands-on expert who keeps plant chemical process controls, heat treatment furnaces, and critical electronic systems accurate and dependable.
You start by reviewing oral and written job instructions and priorities. From there, you’ll move between the plant floor and the shop—installing, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation and electronic equipment. You’ll work on thermoelectric elements and devices that measure pressure, flow, and pH, and you’ll support gas chromatograph instruments to ensure precise readings.
Precision matters: you’ll calibrate temperature and pressure elements to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements and maintain the physical calibration records that prove it. You’ll also keep preventive maintenance and test records up to date and curate a well-organized library of calibration manuals so the team can move fast and confidently.
Some tasks call for rebuilding and installing valves, valve positioners, and other flow devices. You’ll coordinate area activities with the central maintenance shop and partner closely with Engineering and Quality for material qualification and testing—often participating in customer audits to demonstrate capability and compliance.
