We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on manufacturing quality engineering experience, preferably with a Tier 1 automotive supplier, and a strong understanding of the quality systems and problem-solving methods required in the automotive industry.

Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by identifying, investigating, and resolving quality issues.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes of quality problems.
Lead structured problem-solving activities using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and other root-cause analysis methods.
Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC activities.
Prepare and maintain PPAP documentation and customer-specific quality requirements.
Work directly with production, engineering, maintenance, tooling, and management to resolve quality issues.
Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for reducing scrap, rework, defects, and customer complaints.
Analyze quality data and use statistical methods to identify trends and recurring issues.
Develop and maintain inspection standards, control plans, work instructions, and other quality documentation.
Participate in process and product audits and ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements.
Assist with customer and supplier quality issues, including containment, root-cause investigation, and corrective action.
Support new product launches and process changes from initial development through production.
Communicate directly with automotive customers regarding quality concerns, corrective actions, and PPAP requirements.
Conduct layered process audits and other quality audits as required.
Help establish and maintain effective incoming, in-process, and final inspection processes.
Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Tier 1 automotive supplier experience highly preferred.

Ability to work effectively on the manufacturing floor and address problems in real time.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience working with major automotive OEM customers.
Experience with IATF 16949 quality systems.
Experience with customer-specific requirements.
Experience conducting internal, process, or layered audits.
Experience with gage R&R and measurement systems analysis.
Experience with supplier quality and supplier corrective actions.
Experience supporting new program launches and production transfers.
Experience with machining, stamping, welding, assembly, or other automotive manufacturing processes.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on automotive Quality Engineer who understands that quality engineering isn't limited to paperwork and reports. You should be comfortable spending significant time on the manufacturing floor, working directly with operators, supervisors, engineers, and management to identify problems and implement permanent solutions.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked for a Tier 1 automotive supplier and understand the expectations, timelines, documentation, and accountability that come with supporting automotive OEM customers.
The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver who can take ownership of a quality issue from containment through root-cause analysis, corrective action, verification, and customer closure.
