Day in the Life
Based at our Columbia, SC facility in a hybrid work model, you are the go-to technologist for keeping people productive. Your day spans resolving first- and second-level tickets, configuring endpoints (desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices), and partnering with global IT teams to roll out upgrades, patches, and new platform capabilities. You keep a vigilant eye on local infrastructure, escalate what matters, and capture everything with meticulous documentation—from incidents and fixes to asset inventory.
About the Role
- Serve as the primary local contact for IT incidents and service requests, driving issues to resolution.
- Deliver first- and second-level support across hardware, software, and networks.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Collaborate with global IT on system upgrades, patching, and technology deployments.
- Monitor equipment and infrastructure; promptly escalate critical events.
- Document incidents, solutions, and asset lifecycle with accuracy.
- Provide outstanding support to local and remote users, communicating clearly and professionally.
- Adhere to and reinforce IT security procedures.
- Own onboarding/offboarding tasks, including account setup and equipment provisioning.
- Contribute meaningfully to projects, audits, and disaster recovery planning/testing.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Reporting & Location
You will report to the Manager, Windows & Platform Services. The position is based at the Columbia, SC Facility and operates in a hybrid capacity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with Active Directory, remote support tools, and Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM.
- Experience with virtual desktop deployments.
Compensation
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
