Role snapshot
- Guide and motivate a production crew to achieve safe, high-quality output while fostering continuous improvement.
- Embed safety into daily routines: perform audits, file incident reports, and investigate near-misses.
- Hold the line on specifications and SOPs to ensure quality every time.
- Train operators and leads on standard procedures that prioritize safety, quality, and production goals.
- Work with HR on payroll processing, staffing needs, and personnel/labor considerations.
- Brief and debrief peer managers at changeover so critical issues are addressed promptly.
- Own shift performance by managing throughput targets and scrap limits.
- Team up with maintenance and technical support to resolve equipment, process, and material issues quickly.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of production supervision experience; unionized manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; trusted partner to hourly associates, peers, and leadership.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and eager to learn new systems.
- Strong leadership and people management track record.
- Background in food and beverage manufacturing.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Six Sigma certification.
Physical requirements
- Lift and carry 25 lbs. or more as needed.
- Regularly stand and move throughout the facility.

A line throws a quality alert mid-run. You halt, verify specs, lead a quick root-cause huddle with operators and maintenance, document the near-miss, and restart with containment and a training refresher.
