Role snapshot
- Pay: $38–$48.47 per hour
- Shift: First shift primary; willing to assist across shifts when needed
- Scope: Access the entire plant and grounds to keep utilities and process systems reliable and safe
What will you do?
- Troubleshoot and correct issues within plumbing and piping networks supporting steam, compressed air, irrigation, sump pumps, and related systems
- Install, maintain, and repair plant utilities and industrial piping
- Apply deep pump theory knowledge to diagnose, service, and rebuild units
- Use pneumatic principles to track down faults and restore operation
- Thread and fit pipe across multiple materials: iron, steel, stainless, copper, PVC
- Make fast, clean joints using PRO Press
- Weld (gas and arc), solder, and perform sanitary welding to certification-level standards
- Source and order parts from OEM manuals, drawings, and schematics
- Communicate clearly in writing and speech; follow and give instructions
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Run, monitor, and service boiler systems
- Operate and maintain refrigeration systems
- Support programs that safeguard food safety, strengthen food safety culture, uphold product quality, and sustain facility cleanliness
What do you bring?
- High school diploma or GED
- Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber license (required)
- Certified sanitary welder (preferred)
- EPA Universal (preferred)
