Crating & Outbound Quality Technician (Luxury Wood Furnishings)

Own the final mile for one-of-a-kind wood pieces

At Fargo Woodworks, every conference table, credenza, and hospitality showpiece is unique. As our Crating & Outbound Quality Technician, you’re the last expert to touch each custom build before it journeys to executive offices, boardrooms, and high-end venues nationwide.

A day in this role

  • Start with inspection: Assemble and carefully check each piece. Nothing gets wrapped until it passes your scrutiny.
  • Detail-level prep: Clean all surfaces so dust and debris never get trapped under protection.
  • Document the proof: Photo every shipment to a defined checklist to safeguard against carrier claims.
  • Protect the craft: Wrap components thoughtfully, with extra foam on edges, corners, and finished faces.
  • Build to endure: Construct tight, robust crates designed for real-world handling so nothing shifts in transit.
  • Stage for success: Label thoroughly (fragile, do not stack, no‑stack cones) and organize outbound loads.
  • Stay ready: Use downtime to pre-cut foam, assemble crate parts, and replenish packing supplies.
