BigID Consultant
We are looking for an experienced BigID Consultant for a contract engagement, supporting data privacy, discovery, and governance initiatives. This role requires working hours aligned with Pacific Time Zone (PT).
Experience Required: 5ā6 years (Data Privacy / Data Governance / BigID implementation)
Key Responsibilities:
š¹ Lead end-to-end implementation and configuration of the BigID platform for data discovery, classification, and cataloging
š¹ Design and execute data scans across structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data sources (databases, file shares, cloud storage, SaaS applications)
š¹ Configure BigID connectors for various data sources (AWS S3, Azure, Snowflake, Salesforce, on-prem databases, etc.)
š¹ Build and maintain data classification policies aligned with sensitive data categories (PII, PCI, PHI)
š¹ Support data privacy compliance initiatives ā CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks
š¹ Collaborate with data governance, security, and compliance teams to define data risk and remediation strategies
š¹ Develop and maintain data maps, inventories, and lineage documentation within BigID
š¹ Configure and manage BigID workflows for Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), Right to be Forgotten (RTBF), and consent management
š¹ Troubleshoot scan failures, connector issues, and platform performance concerns
š¹ Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders on data risk posture and remediation progress
š¹ Provide guidance to internal teams on BigID best practices and platform capabilities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
ā
5-6 years of overall experience in data privacy/data governance domain
ā
Hands-on experience with BigID platform ā implementation, configuration, and administration
ā
Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
ā
Experience with data classification, data mapping, and sensitive data discovery
ā
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise data sources
ā
Knowledge of SQL and scripting (Python/Shell) is a plus
ā
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
ā
Excellent communication skills ā ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
ā
Prior consulting/contract experience preferred
Engagement Details:
š Remote ā must overlap with Pacific Time Zone (PT) working hours
š Contract-based engagement
š Immediate to short-term start preferred
