Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Manufacturing IT Support Technician to join our team in Hammond, IN. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing IT systems. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing our technology infrastructure, all while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for manufacturing IT systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure optimal operation of manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new IT equipment and software.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
- Document and maintain records of IT support requests and resolutions.
- Train staff on new technologies and best practices for IT usage in the manufacturing environment.
- Participate in ongoing IT projects to improve system efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software and systems is a plus.
