Quality Control Laboratory Technician – Chemical Production

Step into an afternoon-to-midnight rhythm where your attention to detail keeps products reliable and customers satisfied. In this Quality Control role, you’ll navigate the lab and production spaces to protect quality, ensure documentation is airtight, and prepare shipments that leave before sunrise.

A day in the life

  • Start by reviewing, closing, and tracking work orders to keep production moving smoothly.
  • Print, deliver, and apply labels to containers so early AM shipments to customers and inter-site locations are ready on time.
  • Support (AM or PM) QC lab operations: maintain records, file documentation, and perform basic quality testing.
  • Operate lab equipment safely and precisely; uphold strict laboratory hygiene and safety practices.
  • Partner with the Commercial Team and Customer Service to send out requested product samples (SC).

What you bring

  • High school diploma or higher; some advanced education preferred but not required in lieu of experience in a lab or medical setting and/or a combination of education and training.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and team collaboration.
  • Preferably 1+ year in a quality-oriented or data entry role (packaging, laboratory testing, logistics, customer service, medical).
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Comfort with basic mathematical calculations.
  • Keen observation skills and a willingness to consult with others to resolve issues quickly.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities; solid proficiency with common computer applications.
  • A consistently professional and courteous presence representing the company.

Schedule and structure

  • No direct reports; individual contributor role.
  • Core hours: Monday–Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am.
  • Training: first 1–2 months on first shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Work environment

Work is typically performed in an inside, temperature-controlled environment. You will also work and travel throughout plant areas with varied temperatures and humidity and will wear personal protective equipment as required.

Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor, and fumes in the normal course of production. The Company has been and is committed to eliminate these conditions to the extent possible through the application of design engineering. The Company also provides a variety of safety equipment to keep all associates safe and within OSHA standards.
