A day in the life

You start your morning in the Shipping department, reviewing the day’s delivery instructions with the Shipping Manager. Your box truck is fueled, clean, and ready. You load in-process sheet metal parts headed to vendors and finished goods bound for customers across the Indianapolis metro. A quick route plan helps you meet tight schedules while keeping safety front and center. At every stop, you secure signatures, treat every person with professionalism, and double-check that the next drop is set. Before heading back, you refuel, tidy the truck, and note any maintenance needs so the fleet stays road-ready.

What you’ll do

• Safely transport sheet metal products to and from locations throughout the Indianapolis area.
• Plan efficient daily routes to meet delivery timelines.
• Collect, confirm, and follow delivery instructions for each stop.
• Secure loads, balance cargo, and protect products from damage in transit.
• Assist with loading and unloading using hand trucks and forklifts as needed.
• Obtain customer and vendor signatures to complete deliveries.
• Represent the company professionally and positively at every interaction.
• Refuel and clean the box truck as part of daily care.
• Follow all traffic laws and prioritize safety at all times.
• Promptly report accidents, tickets, vehicle damage, or major maintenance issues to management.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Shipping team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Proven experience as a truck driver; prior warehouse and delivery experience preferred.
• Clean driving record (required).
• Indiana For-Hire Endorsement (minimum qualification); current CDL preferred.
• Skilled in maneuvering and parking large, heavy vehicles.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced schedule.
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented under time pressure.
• Calm under stress with strong problem-solving skills.
• Technically competent with adequate computer skills.
