Position Overview

We are seeking Maintenance Mechanics to join a growing maintenance team within a fast-paced food processing environment. We are hiring across all shifts and experience levels. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting plant operations to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) programs on production and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform repairs while minimizing disruption to production schedules.
  • Work alongside contractors, including electricians, refrigeration technicians, plumbers, and other service providers.
  • Create and complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Assist with inventory management of spare and replacement parts.
  • Perform maintenance on both OEM and custom-fabricated equipment.
  • Identify equipment issues and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and leadership teams regarding equipment performance and plant needs.
  • Follow all food safety, OSHA, and company safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred; consideration will be given to candidates with varying levels of experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; conversational proficiency is acceptable.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and production equipment.
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills and math proficiency.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift and perform physical work within OSHA guidelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Food manufacturing or food processing experience.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
  • Welding, fabrication, and machine repair experience.
  • Understanding of PLCs and industrial controls is a plus.
