This organization has a long-standing reputation in engineered manufacturing and is experiencing substantial growth tied to large-scale infrastructure and technology-driven projects.This role is ideal for a skilled welder / fabricator who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, takes pride in precision, and prefers working from detailed mechanical drawings rather than repetitive production welding.About the RoleThe Enclosure Builder position focuses on the fabrication and welding of large, custom-built enclosures and structural assemblies. Work is project-based and requires strong blueprint interpretation, layout, fitting, and precision welding skills.Key responsibilities include:Performing MIG welding on sheet metal and structural steel componentsReading and interpreting detailed mechanical blueprintsMeasuring, cutting, and fitting materials to specificationFabricating and assembling enclosure frames and panelsEnsuring dimensional accuracy and structural integrityUsing power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectivelyWorking with measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometersSupporting general fabrication and mechanical assembly tasksUnlike high-volume production environments, this role involves varied, hands-on fabrication where attention to detail and craftsmanship are critical.Ideal Background & ExperienceRequired / Strongly Preferred:3+ years of hands-on welding or fabrication experience (5+ years preferred)Strong MIG welding experience in a fabrication or custom-build environmentAbility to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprintsExperience measuring, pulling dimensions, and working to toleranceComfortable performing layout, fitting, and assembly workProficient with common fabrication and shop toolsValued Skills / Pluses:TIG welding experienceExperience building enclosures, frames, or large assembliesForklift or overhead crane experience (certifications are a plus)Background in OEM, custom equipment, or engineered manufacturing environmentsNot a Fit For:Candidates with strictly repetitive or high-volume production welding backgroundsIndividuals without mechanical assembly or fabrication exposureWork EnvironmentThis is a hands-on manufacturing and fabrication environment.
