Structural Fabrication Welder–Fitter

A day in this role

It’s Friday in Bardstown, KY. You arrive to a clean, well-organized fabrication floor, review a fresh set of blueprints, and plan your first welds. Over the weekend shift (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), you’ll bring metal structures to life—fitting parts precisely, running strong beads, and validating every joint meets our quality expectations. You’ll collaborate with teammates to keep projects on track, and you’ll finish each day by tidying your station and tuning up your equipment for the next run.

What you’ll work on

  • Translate blueprints, drawings, and specs into accurate fits and welds.
  • Execute multi-process welding (MIG and Stick) and precision fitting tasks.
  • Assemble and fabricate metal components into completed structures and equipment.
  • Inspect and test welds to confirm they meet required quality standards.
  • Keep the work area safe and orderly while following all safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and teammates to hit project timelines.
  • Perform routine care and maintenance on welding machinery and tools.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding technical certification preferred.
  • Hands-on experience as a welder in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Solid command of welding processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately.
  • Sharp attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship.
  • Problem-solving mindset; comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication safety standards and protocols.
  • Experience with MIG, Stick, or Fluxcore welding.

Schedule and location

Based in Bardstown, KY. Weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
