A day in the life
Before the first flight pushes back, you’re already on the ramp. You top off fluids, log equipment needs, and bring a mixed fleet of tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, and service trucks to life. As the day unfolds, you’ll diagnose a stubborn hydraulic leak, swap a worn clutch component, check brake tolerances, and test-run a unit to confirm your fix—all while keeping meticulous records and modeling our safety-first culture. When a last-minute call comes in, you pivot, troubleshoot, and get the operation moving again.

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using OEM manuals, industry best practices, and established safety regulations.
- Remove, bench-test, repair, or replace parts like carburetors, governors, air and oil cleaners, ignition points, and auditory sensors.
- Set and verify tolerances for valves, bearings, cams, clutches, and drive shafts.
- Operate and test ground service equipment to validate performance after repairs.
