Lead an Optical Store Where Service Meets Style

Own the pace, the people, and the performance of a vibrant optical retail location. As the Optical Retail General Manager, you’ll set the tone on the sales floor, shape team culture, and ensure every guest leaves seeing—and feeling—their best.

A Day in the Life

You open the doors with a plan: confirm staffing and floor coverage, review KPIs, and align the team on the day’s goals. On the floor, you model consultative selling—pairing product expertise with personalized recommendations from frames through dispensing. Between client moments, you fine-tune visual presentation, track replenishment, and partner with your district leader on hiring plans and performance coaching. When issues arise, you de‑escalate with care and keep the experience seamless. You close with standards locked, results reviewed, and tomorrow already in motion.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee all store operations, including open/close routines, staffing schedules, and floor management
  • Coach, develop, and inspire sales associates and opticians to achieve individual and store targets
  • Grow revenue via deep product knowledge, thoughtful add‑ons, and a consultative sales approach
  • Guarantee a tailored, high‑quality journey from frame selection to precise dispensing
  • Manage inventory accuracy, visual merchandising, and timely product replenishment to brand standards
  • Collaborate with the district/regional manager on performance reviews, hiring decisions, and business planning
  • Resolve customer escalations professionally and promptly
  • Uphold optical retail standards, safety protocols, and all company policies

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of retail leadership, ideally in optical, fashion, or specialty retail
  • Documented success meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Proven ability to build, coach, and retain high‑performing teams
  • Background in optical dispensing, frame fitting, or partnering with licensed opticians is a plus
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort operating in a metrics/KPI‑driven environment
  • Flexible availability, including weekends
  • ABO Certified
