What your week looks like

  • Start from home and head to sites like workout facilities, hospitals, and motels
  • Diagnose issues on commercial washers, dryers, and ironers; confirm root cause
  • Install replacement parts and test for reliable operation
  • Capture accurate service records: time, materials, and detailed notes
  • Document travel thoroughly, including mileage and fuel purchases
  • Update customers on findings and resolutions; ensure satisfaction
  • Coordinate with the service manager, parts department, and vendors
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and a company‑supplied service vehicle
  • Pitch in with deliveries and equipment installations as needed

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of mechanical repair experience (commercial laundry experience helpful but not required); equivalent education/training/experience considered
  • Practical experience with electrical test equipment and other diagnostic/programming tools
  • Preferred: customer support via phone/email and ticketing/dispatch platforms
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong organization and attention to detail; manage multiple jobs and deadlines
  • Professional communication—written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Comfort with computers; MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred
  • Adaptable, resilient, and proactive; strong work ethic and self‑initiative

Mobility and schedule

  • Expect substantial travel within the Utica, NY territory
  • Occasional overnights during special projects

Physical realities

  • Regularly: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing; fine manual dexterity

For New York the base compensation range for this role starts at $23.00 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
