Airport Security Officer

Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated Security Officer to join our team. In this position, you will control access to client site or facility through the admittance process, assisting visitors with a legitimate need to gain entry to the facility. We provide clear training paths and development tools for all our employees, from security officers to management. As an Security Officer, you will respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level up-to and including, armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. This will involve, observing and reporting activities and incidents at your assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. We are seeking a safety-oriented Security Officer who combines critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to changes in the external environment and organization. You should also posses exceptional organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain professional composure when facing challenging circumstances at the work site. Furthermore, you should display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively at various social levels.

Responsibilities

• Providing a courteous, respectful and pleasant interaction with each client employee and visitor
• Providing an atmosphere in which all client employees and visitors know that the client responds to and cares about their needs
• Communicating in a manner that is open, honest and responsive in all situations
• Patrolling assigned site on foot or in vehicle, inspecting buildings and grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear
• Protecting evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations
• Preparing logs or reports as required for site

Requirements

• High School Diploma 
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Previous experience in physical security, military service, law enforcement or a related field
• Reliable means of transportation and communication
• Capability to comply with confidentiality requirements
• Ability to work legally in the United Kingdom
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Ability to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for armed security work

pay rates start from £17 per hour for day shifts and £20 hour on nights

10-12 hour shifts

guarantee 45-60 hours per week
