From first light to final quality check, you turn raw metal into reliable, finished product. You’ll step into a fast-paced industrial shop, review specifications, prepare surfaces, blend coatings, and apply durable finishes that look sharp and stand up to tough conditions. Your eye for detail and steady hand keep projects moving on time and on budget.
What you’ll do
- Prepare metal surfaces by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion.
- Tint, mix, and match coatings to meet exact color and finish requirements.
- Apply paints, varnishes, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Evaluate finished work for consistency and quality; make touch-ups or adjustments when needed.
- Keep your work area orderly and safe, following all workplace safety rules and procedures.
- Coordinate with teammates and supervisors to hit deadlines and control costs.
- Perform routine upkeep on spray guns, hoses, and other finishing tools.
- Accurately document completed tasks and promptly report issues or defects to leadership.
What you’ll bring
