Seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Dental Removable Technician to join our laboratory team.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate removable dental prostheses including complete dentures, removable partial dentures, and implant-retained overdentures following prescriptions and laboratory work orders.
- Perform model preparation, waxing, flasking, packing, processing, finishing, polishing, and final quality inspection of removable appliances.
- Carry out denture adjustments, relines, and repairs with attention to fit, function, and esthetics.
- Design and produce removable frameworks, clasps, and attachments; adapt protocols for implant components and attachments where applicable.
- Utilize digital technologies in the removable workflow, including CAD/CAM software, digital design, and 3D printing/printing post-processing when required.
- Interpret prescriptions and case requirements; collaborate with clinicians, technicians, and the restorative team to resolve technical and clinical questions.
- Maintain accurate case documentation, shade matching records, and production logs in the laboratory management system.
- Adhere to laboratory quality control standards, infection prevention practices, and safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and manage inventory of materials specific to removable prosthetics.
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification, diploma, or formal training in dental laboratory technology or removable prosthodontics, or equivalent hands-on experience in a dental laboratory setting.
- Proven experience fabricating removable prostheses (complete dentures and partials).
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to produce consistent, high-quality work.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for clinical coordination and case notes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment and manage multiple cases to meet production deadlines.
Preferred qualifications
- Certified Dental Technician (CDT) certification in Removable Prosthodontics or equivalent professional credential.
- Experience with digital removable workflows, including CAD software (e.g., exocad), intraoral/digital scanners, and 3D printing technologies.
- Familiarity with implant attachment systems and fabrication of implant-retained removable prostheses.
- Two or more years of laboratory experience in a dental laboratory focused on removable prosthetics.
Working conditions and physical requirements
- Work performed primarily in a laboratory environment
- Requires prolonged periods of standing, fine manual tasks, and use of hand and power tools; adherence to PPE and safety protocols is required.
- Occasional overtime or adjusted hours may be necessary to meet production schedules.
