Founder's Associate

About the Role

This is a high-leverage, generalist role sitting directly next to the CEO of a seed-stage, AI-native insurtech startup. You will be the closest extension of the CEO on the team — someone trusted completely to take ownership, get things done, and build toward high agency fast. This is not a coordination role. It is a real seat at the table for someone who wants to understand how a company is built from the ground up.

The company is an AI-native consumer insurance broker operating in a $2 trillion market that has barely been touched by modern technology. The platform uses AI agents to quote, bind, and service policies autonomously, working with 40 of the largest US insurance carriers and actively expanding nationwide across multiple product lines including life insurance.

What You'll Do

  • Support fundraising end-to-end: investor research, deck iterations, data room management, and follow-up communications
  • Own GTM initiatives including marketing campaign optimization, partnerships, and carrier onboarding
  • Build financial models, operational frameworks, and analytical dashboards
  • Manage hiring pipelines, vendor sourcing, and agency relationships
  • Identify the highest-priority problem each week and drive it to resolution — then systematize, automate, or hand it off
  • Represent the CEO across internal and external stakeholders with full trust and accountability
  • Span multiple workstreams simultaneously — fundraising, ops, product strategy, analytics, and more — often within a single day

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 0–1 year of professional experience, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across GTM, operations, analytics, and executive leadership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — genuinely comfortable with ambiguity, high ownership, and a blank canvas
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (no sponsorship provided)

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with investor communications, pitch decks, and fundraising processes
  • Prior exposure to insurtech, fintech, or early-stage consumer startups
  • Background or coursework in finance, business, or a quantitative field

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 USD annually
  • Early-stage equity opportunity
  • Direct mentorship from the CEO with a clear generalist-to-founder career path

Location

This role is based on-site in New York City, NY. Candidates must be able to work in-person. No visa sponsorship is available.
