On second shift in our Hanover Park / Elk Grove Village area operations, you will be the final safeguard between precision machining and flawless delivery. Your day starts with a review of the production schedule and blueprints; it ends with the confidence that every part that leaves your hands meets spec.
What a typical shift looks like
- Perform in-process and final inspections on precision machined components
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints using GD&T to validate dimensions and tolerances
- Operate precision measuring instruments—micrometers, calipers, gauges—and other inspection equipment
- Record inspection outcomes, keep accurate quality documentation, and prepare reports
- Identify nonconforming parts, initiate and support corrective action activities
- Partner closely with production and engineering teams to sustain rigorous quality standards
What you bring
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Fluency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T principles
- Hands-on skill with precision metrology tools and inspection equipment
- Exceptional attention to detail and a true commitment to product quality
- Ability to work 2nd shift
