Your Mission
- Verify kits end-to-end: confirm part numbers and quantities; reconcile to pick lists; ensure BOM specifications match the physical components in hand.
- Research and validate component package types using manufacturers’ datasheets and supplier resources.
- Record and communicate shortages with clear check-in and shortage logs.
- Apply IMS controls for customer-supplied/consigned items and internal property.
- Interpret part drawings/specs and continue growing your component literacy.
- Initiate and manage Technical Issue (TI) forms; engage customers when needed.
- Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing, Documentation, and Production to resolve exceptions and nonconformances.
- Keep the work area orderly and inspection-ready; own the precision of your work.
Who You’ll Work With
Group Leader, Manager, Purchasing, Documentation, Production, and occasionally customers. You’ll operate within IMS instructions and established procedures. Accuracy matters—errors directly influence product quality and delivery timelines.
What It Takes
- Clear written and verbal communication; rigorous attention to detail.
- Electronic part inspection skills; knowledge of common package types.
- Experience with Inventory Control systems; strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- IPC certification preferred (IPC-A-610 familiarity is a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a daily basis.
Experience & Education
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years in kitting/stockroom or a closely related role; electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
