Class A Local Truck Driver - New CDL Graduates OK

Beast Mode Truckin is seeking Class A drivers, including recent CDL graduates, for a dedicated local account operating 53' refrigerated (reefer) trailers. This role offers daily home time, paid training for recent graduates, and full benefits after 30 days.

• Compensation: $1,400–$1,600 per week (dependent on miles and experience). Pay per mile: $0.69–$0.81. Training pay: $850 for drivers with under 6 months’ experience. Additional pay: $10 for first stop, $15 for each subsequent stop, $25 short-haul pay for loads under 50 miles.

• Job duties:
  • Operate 53' refrigerated trailers on a solid dedicated account.
  • Primarily no-touch freight with a mix of drop-and-hook and occasional live store load/unloads.
  • Follow all safety, inspection, and logbook procedures; maintain vehicle condition and paperwork.
• Training & equipment: Trainees run 4–6 weeks with a mentor OTR before operating solo. Slip-seat trucks. Typical weekly mileage approximately 1,800 miles.
• Schedule & home time: Home daily. Operations run 7 days; drivers must be willing to work day or night shifts. Typical workweek is 5–6 days; weekends are not guaranteed off.
• Minimum qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL and minimum age 21.
  • Graduated from an accredited truck driving school with at least 120 hours (applies to recent graduates).
  • Fair driving record with no major accidents, major citations, or license suspensions within the past 5 years; no DUI within the past 5 years.
  • No involuntary termination from most recent employment for safety-related reasons.
  • Employment history demonstrating consistent work over the past 10 years with no major gaps; at least 6 months of employment in the most recent year or at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
  • Able to pass pre-employment urine and hair drug screens.
  • Criminal history reviewed case-by-case by safety; certain convictions may be disqualifying.
  • Residence within approximately 65 miles of Johnstown, NY.
