Join the team reindustrializing America

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to deliver aerospace and defense hardware—faster and at lower cost—by uniting advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing. We partner with startups through major defense primes across space, shipbuilding, and aviation. With support from Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz, we’ve secured a $260 million Series C to scale our impact.

Your Impact From Day One

In our new 270,000 sq. ft. Mesa, AZ facility (creating 350 immediate jobs), you will take ownership of a production area’s uptime across CNCs, robots, and site infrastructure. One hour you’ll commission a new machine; the next you’ll diagnose a servo/VFD fault, coordinate an OEM consult, and update our standards so every technician can repeat the fix. You’ll also support a growing HQ designed to enable thousands of teammates and help us introduce Hadrian Maritime and a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems.

Responsibilities

  • Drive uptime through rapid, OEM-aligned corrective maintenance on CNC and robotic assets.
  • Lead root-cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software layers; implement preventative countermeasures.
  • Own a queue of maintenance tickets, triaging to reduce downtime; work directly with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Create and maintain clear, repeatable SOPs; reduce dependence on specialized knowledge.
  • Execute and document routine and preventive maintenance, including parts tracking and PM plans.
  • Oversee section utilities: electrical distribution, compressed air, vacuum, process cooling, HVAC, and general facilities.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience with CNC machinery and robotics
  • Fast learner who self-enables via manuals, training, and vendor resources
  • Fluency in advanced manufacturing systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic
  • Strong communicator; willing to support off-shift/on-call needs during critical installs

Preferred Background

  • On-the-floor commissioning/installation of CNCs, robots, and automation
  • Facilities range spanning high-/low-voltage electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC; can read schematics/prints
  • Debugging drives, servos, PLC-adjacent I/O, sensors, VFDs, coolant, and chip handling
  • CMMS fluency for work orders, spares management, and PM strategy; rigorous documentation

Technologies

  • PLCs: Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Siemens
  • VFDs and servo motors

Expertise Matrix

  • PLC troubleshooting, programming, and wiring for industrial automation
  • Industrial/manufacturing engineering concepts applied to maintenance and reliability
  • Comprehensive equipment troubleshooting—mechanical, electrical, and electronic
  • Electrical schematics interpretation and blueprint reading
  • Facilities maintenance across utilities and infrastructure
  • Electrical/electronic systems diagnostics and repair, including high-voltage
  • CNC machine repair, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Preventive maintenance programs and inspection discipline
  • Pneumatics know-how and troubleshooting capability
  • 120/208/240/480 VAC system proficiency
  • Industrial electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Machine safety inspections and adherence
  • Broad industrial electrical experience in manufacturing environments
  • Industrial robot programming exposure
  • Wide-ranging troubleshooting of industrial automation equipment

Pay & Perks

Compensation target: $30–$40 per hour (actual range may vary with experience). This represents the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay at posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, which may be updated over time. Placement within the range depends on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geography, performance, and business needs.

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
