Materials Handling and Fulfillment Technician

Help us deliver for coffee, tea, allied products, and equipment customers by keeping our warehouse accurate, efficient, and SQF-compliant.

Impact of the role

  • Maintain product flow: receive, pick, and ship orders on time and error-free.
  • Guard data integrity: keep WMS records accurate and investigate issues in JDE.
  • Protect our facility: enforce safety, sanitation, and inventory security standards.
  • Support the field: provide route relief and operate sprinter vans/box trucks when needed.

Core responsibilities

  • Execute receiving, shipping, order selection, and sanitation in line with SQF procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and other MHE to load/unload efficiently and optimize storage utilization.
  • Verify inventory accuracy through process checks, system review audits, and complete transaction documentation.
  • Identify and correct overages/shortages from the distribution center or external vendors quickly and accurately.
  • Analyze system transactions and investigate data entry to ensure JDE accuracy.
  • Complete full inventories and weekly cycle counts to maintain stock integrity.
  • Follow all safety rules; keep the warehouse clean, organized, and secure.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to uphold inventory security and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support branch/warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of general factory/warehouse/inventory/finished goods/line picking experience preferred.

Licenses & Physical

  • Must pass a DOT physical; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Forklift certification preferred; willing to learn additional machinery.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and guidelines.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Accurate reading of numbers/text; experience with WMS and computer terminals; basic computer literacy.

Compensation

$20.25–$21.25 per hour
