Night Shift Leadership (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Step into a hands-on leadership role guiding a high-performing crew across all die-cutting lines during the night shift. You will translate the production plan into safe, efficient, and high-quality output—meeting schedule, cost, and quality targets while championing a positive, team-first culture.
What you’ll do
- Own the production schedule for your shift—sequence jobs, set priorities, and keep work moving to plan.
- Secure and stage resources (people, materials, tooling) to keep every die-cut line running smoothly.
- Allocate work to team members, adjusting assignments as needs change.
- Manage direct labor, materials, and related costs to budget.
- Track run rates and progress against goals; troubleshoot bottlenecks and defects in real time.
- Partner with Maintenance and cross-functional teams to keep equipment performing to standard.
- Coordinate a clean, informative handoff with incoming/outgoing shift leaders to ensure continuity.
Lead and develop people
- Support hiring decisions and help select the right talent for the team.
- Train and upskill team members, reinforcing best practices on each line.
- Foster open communication and teamwork; recognize great work and coach for improvement.
- Address performance and interpersonal issues promptly with fair, progressive discipline when needed.
- Create an environment that motivates, engages, and empowers people to hit targets.
Operate safely and compliantly
- Model and enforce safety policies and procedures; ensure a safe workplace at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized area in line with GMP expectations.
- Uphold quality standards and procedures to protect product integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement—identify waste, streamline steps, and elevate performance.
Report and record with discipline
- Record production hours for each line and each shift in SAP.
- Verify and maintain accurate time reporting in HRIS.
- Complete and document quality checks on every line during your shift.
- Send the required shift update after entering final data at shift end.
- Take on special projects and initiatives tied to shift performance as assigned.
What you bring
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
