Technical Engineer

About the Role

An early-stage B2B SaaS company in the industrial AI and manufacturing intelligence space is looking for a Technical Engineer to help build and scale the technical infrastructure powering its industrial marketplace. You'll collaborate closely with founders to create data pipelines, marketplace features, and intelligent systems that process significant transaction volumes — playing a central role in modernizing a large, legacy industry.

What You'll Do

• Build and scale the technical backbone of an industrial marketplace platform.
• Design and maintain data pipelines (using Dagster or similar) to process information from thousands of manufacturers and distributors.
• Implement DevOps best practices and manage cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation and AWS.
• Develop AI/ML integrations that power the intelligence platform and automate distribution workflows.
• Build features across the full stack: NextJS/Vercel frontend, Supabase backend, and modern data infrastructure.
• Own end-to-end delivery of projects that directly enable millions in transactions.
• Help shape technical strategy as the company scales from software to a full marketplace.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• Strong full-stack production experience with a proven ability to ship rapidly and reliably.
• True full-stack capability — comfortable with both backend and frontend work.
• Proficiency with modern web technologies: React/NextJS, TypeScript, REST APIs.
• 3–7 years of experience in ML engineering or building reliable ML systems.
• Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining data pipelines for traditional ML and AI agents.
• DevOps expertise including infrastructure as code (CloudFormation and/or Terraform).
• Track record at high-caliber organizations (e.g., FAANG, top-tier unicorn startups, or comparable firms).

Nice to have:

• Experience with marketplace or e-commerce platforms.
• Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or B2B enterprise software.
• Exposure to AI/ML and LLM integration.
• Previous early-stage startup experience.
• Familiarity with cloud operations, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Experience with Dagster specifically for pipeline orchestration.
